JOHN LEE HOOKER

John Lee Hooker was born in Tutwiler near Clarksdale (Mississippi), but his year of birth is unclear. He was an influential US-American blues singer, songwriter and guitarist. He was also a representative of the Delta Blues, which he mostly performed with electric guitar in his unmistakable style. Hooker is said to have created more than 500 songs in the course of his more than fifty-year career. He was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame in 1980 and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1991. In 2010 he got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He influenced many musicians such as The Doors, The Rolling Stones, The Animals and many more. With his majestic piece “the Healer”, he received four grammy.
