Superfly

Superfly is Curtis Mayfield's third studio album and his first film production. The album climbed to number 1 in the pop and black charts for a few weeks in 1972 and is one of the few soundtracks to surpass the movie. Especially the lyrics are a milestone for the time and make it a remarkably meaningful work. Nobody had imagined such a big success at that time and so this work opened further doors in film music for curtis.
