Come Back, Charleston Blue
Come Back, Charlston Blue is a 1972 film based on the novel by Chester Himes, written by Peggy Elliot and Bontche Schweig and produced by Samuel Goldwin Jr. The soundtrack was written by soul legend Donny Hathaway and contains some fine library nuggets with a big orchestra, big beat and soulful moments. It is totally underrated and enver reached any big numbers. However, it is a nice piece of work and it got two songs from other writers. “Little Ghetto Boy”, which was written by Earl DuRouen and Edward Howard and “Come back Charleston Blue” which was written by Donny, Al Cleveland and Quiny Jones.
