Black Caesar

Black Caesar or The Godfather of Harlem was written and directed by Larry Cohen in 1973. James Brown got the chance to write the music with heavy input by Fred Wesley (though he here had his first experiences with songwriting) also featuring Lyn Collins and the JB’s. Some said he should never be allowed near a vibraphone again and some say it’s a “kick-ass soundtrack”. Whatever it is, it is another damn hard blaxploitation soundtrack!
